Dreamcoat Lemurian Quartz is one of those crystals that tells a story about how minerals form over time. This specimen began as a naturally striated quartz crystal before a second generation of mineral-rich quartz grew over its surface, creating the beautiful overgrowth commonly known as Super Seven. Because it formed in multiple stages, each piece has its own unique combination of textures, inclusions, and crystal growth, making every specimen one of a kind.

In traditional crystal practices, Dreamcoat Lemurian Quartz is associated with personal growth, self-discovery, spiritual development, and emotional healing. Quartz is composed of silicon dioxide (SiO₂) and has a Mohs hardness of 7, making it one of the most common and durable minerals found on Earth. The horizontal lines found on the original crystal are known as growth striations and are what give Lemurian Quartz its recognizable appearance. Later, mineral-rich hydrothermal fluids deposited another layer of quartz over the crystal, creating the secondary growth known as the "dreamcoat."

Super Seven is a gemstone trade name rather than an official mineral classification. It is traditionally associated with Amethyst, Smoky Quartz, Clear Quartz, Rutile, Goethite, Lepidocrocite, and Cacoxenite. However, because most specimens have not undergone laboratory analysis, it isn't possible to guarantee that every crystal contains all seven minerals. Instead, the name has become widely associated with quartz displaying this distinctive style of natural mineral inclusions and secondary growth.

One of my favorite things about Dreamcoat Lemurian Quartz is that you can actually see more than one stage of crystal growth. The original quartz crystal formed first, and later, mineral-rich hydrothermal fluids deposited another generation of quartz over its surface. That natural sequence of events is preserved in the crystal you see today, making each specimen a small record of Earth's geological history.
