My journey to becoming a crystal shop owner has been a blend of passion, curiosity, and personal transformation. As a lifelong rock hound, my love for collecting unique stones and exploring the natural world has been a central part of who I am. I’ve spent countless hours scouring creek beds, hiking trails, and rocky outcrops, searching for treasures hidden beneath the surface. My fascination with the earth’s wonders naturally led me to reading geology books, delving into the science behind the formation of crystals and minerals, and expanding my knowledge of the natural world.
In 2014, I decided to dip my toes into the world of small business by starting an Etsy shop, and “Bella Chakra” was born. I created custom crystal bracelets, blending the energetic properties of stones with beautiful designs. For several years, Bella Chakra was a side hustle, a creative outlet that allowed me to share my passion for crystals with others.
Then came 2020, a year of upheaval for the world and for me personally. The security of my tenured faculty position was shaken, and I began to feel disconnected from the work I was doing. One morning in May, I woke up with an unexpected clarity. It was as if a fog had lifted, and I could finally see a new path for myself. The thought crossed my mind: “Why not? Why not start an e-commerce store?”
Fueled by newfound determination, I immersed myself in research and transformed Bella Chakra into “C3 Crystals.” With a focus on bringing the beauty and energy of crystals to a wider audience, I poured my heart into this new venture. About a year later, I decided to rebrand as “Bella Luna”—a nod to my shop’s origins and a reflection of the growth and evolution of my journey.
Today, Bella Luna embodies everything I’ve loved since childhood, the magic of crystals, the power of crystal energy, and the joy of connecting with others.
Owning this shop has brought me more happiness and fulfillment than I ever imagined possible. What once felt like a far-off dream is now my reality, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the journey that brought me here.
