This beautiful Blue Calcite tower displays soothing shades of blue and blue-green with natural banding that make each piece completely unique. Expertly polished into a standing tower, it is an elegant display specimen for collectors and crystal enthusiasts alike.
This material is commonly sold under the trade names Lemurian Aquatine Calcite™ and Blue Onyx. Despite these names, it is neither Lemurian in origin nor true onyx. It is a naturally occurring variety of blue and blue-green Calcite sourced from Argentina.
Calcite is a calcium carbonate mineral that ranks 3 on the Mohs Hardness Scale, making it significantly softer than quartz. Because of its relative softness, this crystal should be handled carefully to help prevent scratches and chips.
In traditional crystal practices, Blue Calcite is associated with emotional healing, inner peace, communication, self-reflection, and spiritual growth. Some practitioners also associate this material with a symbolic connection to the ocean and marine life. These metaphysical associations are shared as part of longstanding cultural and spiritual traditions.

Educational Note
Although commonly marketed as Blue Onyx, this material is not true onyx, which is a banded variety of chalcedony (quartz). Mineralogically, this material is simply a beautiful variety of blue and blue-green Calcite from Argentina.
Photo & Product Note
Photos represent the quality and overall appearance. Listing is for one intuitively chosen tower. Because these are natural crystals, each specimen will vary slightly in color, banding, translucency, and overall shape.
Care
Calcite is a relatively soft mineral and can scratch easily. Handle with care, avoid dropping or bumping against harder minerals, and clean only with a soft dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid acidic cleaners, which can damage calcite.
